Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society is a local, foster-based, non-profit organization in Amarillo, Texas. We do not have a facility and rely solely on foster homes to house our animals.
We are not part of the national Humane Society nor are we the City Shelter. We had been housed on-site to the local city shelter for years, but as of August/September 2022 we relocated to our new office.

Mission
The mission of The Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society is to promote education regarding humane treatment of animals to the citizens of the Texas Panhandle, including pet over-population, proper pet care, ownership responsibility and to provide solutions to help in identified areas of need and to be a voice for those who cannot help themselves.
